This serum contains 0.5% vitamin A in the form of retinol, which penetrates deep into the skin cells and is effective. It stimulates cell renewal and collagen production, calms overactive pigment cells and fades scars and other imperfections.
The skin structure improves, large pores fade and the complexion evens out and refreshes. In addition, retinol is very effective in tackling impure skin (clogged pores) and hormonal acne. It 'unclogs' deep into the pores, inhibits sebum production and helps to tackle inflammation and the visible consequences thereof (dark discolouration).

- 0.5% RETINOL: a perfect alternative to retinoic acid (only available on prescription). Retinol gives the same results as retinoic acid, without the associated 'downtime' and unlike retinoic acid, it is suitable for long-term use. It stimulates cell renewal, cell differentiation and collagen production and helps reduce pigmentation and scars. It is a natural antioxidant and exfoliant; it accelerates cell renewal from 28 to 10 to 15 days and makes the skin surface smoother. This improves the complexion, texture and firmness of the skin. It also has a strong inhibitory effect on (hormonal) acne.
- SQUALANE: works like our skin's own oil (sebum): it prevents moisture loss and keeps your skin soft and supple. As an antioxidant, it works with other antioxidants to reduce UV damage and protects against lipid peroxidation. This changes the composition of the sebum, which can lead to inflammation and in that case can cause damage not only to the skin surface but also to the pores.
- TOMATO EXTRACT: anti-inflammatory, helps to keep retinol stable (unstable, oxidized retinol can cause reactions).
- EVENING PRIMROSE OIL: helps to stabilize the skin barrier function, helps to prevent moisture loss (trans epidermal water loss, TEWL). Naturally anti-inflammatory.
- MACADAMIA OIL: powerful oil with not only an enormous skin protection, but also healing, anti-aging and hydrating effect. Is quickly absorbed.
How to use
Only every other day and in the evening. Apply 3-4 drops to cleansed skin. Leave on for 10 minutes before applying a moisturizer. On other evenings, use Liquid Gold for a thorough anti-aging approach.
We advise you to use a day cream with SPF50+ protection during the day, because vitamin A makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. For example, choose the Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF50+ or Protection Plus Daily SPF50+.
This serum is an ideal starting product for skin that has not previously come into contact with retinol or fruit acids. This powerful anti-ageing and anti-acne serum is therefore also suitable for sensitive skin.
