Find your ideal shade

Choosing the right foundation shade goes beyond light, medium, or dark — the undertone determines whether a shade looks natural or turns gray on the skin. The eight shades of Alibi are arranged in a logical spectrum from light to deep dark, each with a specific warm, cool, or neutral undertone.

Light shades (porcelain to light)

In this segment, you will find three shades, each catering to a different undertone. Lily is the lightest shade in the collection with a cool pink undertone, suitable for porcelain skin that tends to burn rather than tan in the sun. Pillow is a light shade with a warm ivory undertone for skin showing natural yellow-peach nuances. Bloom completes this segment with a neutral to light pink undertone, ideal for light skin that can lean warm or cool.

Light-medium to medium shades

Dune is a versatile light-medium shade with a warm sandy undertone, suitable for skin that changes color seasonally. Bamboo is a warm medium shade with a golden undertone, ideal for skin that naturally tends to a sun-kissed glow or tans easily in summer.

Medium-dark to deep dark shades

The deeper segment consists of three carefully balanced shades. Spiced is a medium-dark shade with a warm spicy undertone for skin with amber or caramel nuances. Tawny is a dark shade with a warm bronze undertone for skin with mocha or bronze character. Umber completes the spectrum with a deep dark shade and warm espresso undertone, developed for the richest skin tones with cocoa and ebony nuances.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what undertone my skin has?

Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in daylight. If they appear mostly green, you likely have a warm undertone. If they look blue or purple, you have a cool undertone. If you see both colors alternately, your undertone is neutral. A second test: gold jewelry suits warm undertones better, silver suits cool undertones, and both look good on neutral undertones.

Which shade suits my skin if I’m unsure between two options?

If you’re unsure between two adjacent shades, a sample sachet is the safest option. Delilah also offers free color advice via customer service based on photos. A rule of thumb: choose the slightly lighter shade in winter and the slightly deeper shade in summer, or mix both shades for seasonal transitions.

Is Alibi suitable for dry skin?

Alibi has a matte finish and is formulated for oily and combination skin types seeking full coverage. For dry skin, the matte finish can emphasize dry areas. In that case, start with a well-hydrated base using a rich cream and possibly a hydrating serum underneath, and apply more lightly on dry areas.

How long does one bottle typically last?

With daily use of one pump, a 30ml bottle typically lasts three to four months. Because of the full coverage, building up in multiple layers is usually not necessary, keeping consumption per application low.
