Thank Me Later

Natural mineral sunscreen with vegan SPF from Scheveningen

Thank Me Later is a Dutch skincare brand from Scheveningen, born from one observation: the skin faces UV, wind, cold, and reflection every day — not just in July. The brand doesn’t create seasonal products but a daily system for "Daily Exposure Performance" — protection that moves with life, from early mornings by the sea to long afternoons in the city.

Thank Me Later’s formulas combine mineral zinc oxide with modern, photostable filters, and are built around plant-based oils like jojoba, coconut, and apricot kernel. All products are vegan, paraben- and paraffin-free, and consciously developed without chemicals that harm coral and ocean life. A skin-friendly and environmentally conscious approach that suits those who want to integrate SPF as a natural part of their skincare.

Why choose Thank Me Later?

Thank Me Later stands out through three consistent choices across the entire line. First, a hybrid filter system combining mineral zinc oxide (non-nano) with modern photostable filters — providing high protection without the heavy texture of pure mineral formulas. Second, 98% natural origin with plant-based oils and waxes, including candelilla wax instead of beeswax for the lip balms. Third, a clear environmental positioning: the formulas are consciously free of chemical filters that damage coral reefs, in line with the brand’s ocean origin in Scheveningen. Together, these choices create an offering that is wearable daily, versatile, and responsible.

Origin & philosophy

Thank Me Later comes from Scheveningen — not the tourist postcard version, but the real one: wind, a restless North Sea, and weather that changes faster than your daily schedule. This context has shaped the brand’s philosophy. Skin is always "exposed": to light, wind, cold air, reflection, and movement. Every day, regardless of the season.

From this principle, Thank Me Later doesn’t develop classic summer sunscreens but what the brand calls "Daily Exposure Performance": products light enough to automatically become part of the routine, and strong enough to perform in real conditions. From salty mornings by the sea to sunlight reflecting off asphalt in the city — different environments, the same reality. The positioning "from beach to city, from summer to 365" runs as a red thread through the entire range.

The formula philosophy

Four core principles run through all Thank Me Later formulas: a hybrid filter system with non-nano zinc oxide and modern photostable UV filters for broad UVA/UVB protection, a plant-based care base including jojoba, coconut, and apricot kernel oils, a clean profile without parabens, paraffin, or the coral-damaging chemicals common in sunscreens, and a vegan composition with candelilla and rice bran wax as plant-based alternatives to beeswax.

The products are pH-neutral and 98% natural origin, water-resistant (not waterproof — a conscious choice for repeated reapplication), and preserved with natural preservatives. This means the products can be used for 12 months after opening. An honest, transparent formula philosophy without grand claims about waterproof performance or endless shelf life.

The three product lines

Thank Me Later’s range is built around three clear product categories, each with its own role in the daily routine but based on the same formula principles.

Daily Exposure Sunscreen: The brand’s core collection and the starting point of the philosophy. Four SPF30 variants for face and body — three scented (Cucumber & Aloe Vera, Lavender & Coconut, Pear & Green Tea) and one completely fragrance-free for sensitive and post-treatment skin. All four based on the hybrid filter system with zinc oxide.

Natural Lip Balm SPF25: Vegan lip balm in three variants (Rosewater, Coconut, and Mint Cucumber), specifically developed for the thin and delicate lip skin often missing in many SPF routines. SPF25 based on non-nano zinc oxide, with candelilla wax as a plant-based replacement for beeswax.

Illuminating Dry Body Oil: The brand’s body care line with a dry body oil that absorbs quickly without a greasy finish. Plant-based base oils complemented with fine light-reflecting pigments for a subtle golden glow — a nourishing finishing touch with a different character than the SPF line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Thank Me Later suitable for?

Thank Me Later is developed for those who want to integrate SPF as a daily step rather than a seasonal product. The range suits almost all skin types — with the choice between scented and fragrance-free variants also suitable for sensitive and reactive skin. The light texture makes the brand suitable for both daily use in urban environments and active days outdoors.

What filter technology does Thank Me Later use?

The formulas combine non-nano zinc oxide as a mineral filter with modern, photostable UV filters such as Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine and Ethylhexyl Triazone. This hybrid system provides high protection and stability without the heaviness of pure mineral sunscreen. The non-nano particles cannot penetrate the skin barrier.

Are Thank Me Later products vegan and cruelty-free?

All products are completely vegan — for example, beeswax is replaced by candelilla and rice bran wax in the lip balms. The brand does not use ingredients of animal origin. For specific certifications, we refer to the brand’s official communication.

Is Thank Me Later ocean- and coral-friendly?

The brand has consciously chosen to exclude the chemical filters commonly found in sunscreens that damage coral reefs from its formulas. This fits with the Scheveningen origin and the brand’s commitment to the ocean. The products are therefore more responsible to use in locations where sunscreen residues end up in the sea.

How long are Thank Me Later products good for after opening?

Because the products are preserved with natural preservatives instead of synthetic ones, they have a shelf life of 12 months after opening (PAO 12M). Store products in a dry place and out of direct sunlight for optimal performance during that period.

Can I combine multiple Thank Me Later products in one routine?

Yes — the line is designed as a system. A logical daily routine combines the Daily Exposure Sunscreen for face and body with the Natural Lip Balm SPF25 for the lips, and as a finishing touch on the body, the Illuminating Dry Body Oil. The formulas are coordinated and share the same plant-based base.
