This nourishing lip balm is developed based on coconut oil and enriched with a mix of plant oils, butters, and waxes that help protect your lips from drying out. Coconut oil has a moisturizing effect on your lips. It combines the hydrating properties of coconut oil with the nourishing properties of shea butter and beeswax. The lip balm is vegan, so no beeswax has been used. Candelilla wax is slightly harder than beeswax but softer and can be perfectly used as a plant-based (vegan) substitute for beeswax. Another wax is odorless wax, Oryza Sativa Cera. This is obtained from rice bran. It has skin-soothing properties, especially for dry lips.

The lip balm also contains SPF 25, which protects the lips from UVA and UVB rays. The lip balm nourishes, hydrates, and soothes the lips. Did you know that some lip balms contain additives such as synthetic colorants made from coal tar, paraffin for moisture retention, and artificial wax? Studies show that some of these substances contain heavy metal salts, which can be harmful to health and even carcinogenic.

How to use

Apply generously to the lips and reapply every two hours, especially when exposed to the sun.

• CANDELILLA CERA
Vegan alternative to beeswax. It is a plant-based wax derived from the leaves of North Mexican candelilla bushes (Euphorbia cerifera and Euphorbia antisyphilitica). Like other waxes, it is used to stabilize products and give body, or in the case of the lip balm, to hold the formula together. It has a melting point of around 70°C and has a high gloss, making it a good choice for lip products.

• ORYZA SATIVA CERA
Rice bran wax provides a silky skin feel and reduces the stickiness of emulsions. It is added to balms and butters to give consistency, improve stability at high temperatures, and provide a matte appearance. It is a nice substitute for beeswax in vegan products.
