Delilah Colour Intense Cream Lipstick

Creamy lipstick with intense pigment and moisturizing formula

Delilah's Colour Intense Cream Lipstick is an award-winning lipstick that stands out for its combination of deep pigment, velvety application, and lip care in one formula. Winner of the Best Lipstick award at the Woman & Home Beauty Awards 2023 and the Beauty Shortlist Awards 2022 — a line praised by both expert juries and professional makeup artists for the quality of its formulation.

What makes this lipstick special is its moisturizing effect thanks to Buriti oil and Vitamin E, combined with spherical polymers that provide the typical smooth glide-on. The result is a semi-matte finish that feels comfortable for hours, even on mature lips where matte lipsticks often settle into fine lines. The entire collection is vegan, paraben-free, dermatologically tested, and produced by a B Corp certified brand.

Why choose Delilah Colour Intense Cream Lipstick?

The Colour Intense Cream Lipstick occupies a unique spot on the lipstick spectrum: between the pigment density of a professional matte lipstick and the comfort of a nourishing lip balm. For those who love rich color but want to avoid the drying effect of traditional matte lipsticks, this line offers a thoughtful solution.

The addition of Buriti oil — an ingredient from the Brazilian Buriti palm with a naturally high content of carotenoids and essential fatty acids — sets this formula apart from standard lipsticks that rely solely on synthetic emollients. Added to this is Delilah's broader ethical framework: B Corp certified, vegan, and cruelty-free, without compromising on color intensity or wear time on the lips.

Find your ideal shade

With eleven colors in the range, the Colour Intense Cream Lipstick offers a shade for every occasion, skin undertone, and mood. A logical way to search is by color family:

Nudes and natural tones form the foundation of every makeup wardrobe and flatter almost every skin tone. Whisper is a timeless beige nude with a warm undertone, Muse a versatile warm nude that adapts to various looks, Vintage Rose a cool deep nude with an editorial character, and Hush a universal peachy pink for a my-lips-but-better effect.

Pink tones flatter particularly well on light to medium skin tones with cool or neutral undertones. Grace is a youthful candy pink for a playful look, while Wild Rose offers a romantic raspberry pink with more pigment depth for a feminine, refined look.

Coral and peach tones instantly give the face a healthy, summery glow. Flirt is a soft, wearable peach for everyday use, Siren a vibrant true coral for a lively look, and Sienna a deep coral pink with a warm earthy undertone for those who love saturated Mediterranean warmth.

Statement shades are for moments when lipstick should be the center of attention. Floozy is a classic Hollywood red lipstick with a neutral undertone that flatters universally, and Honesty a sultry deep plum that adds mysterious depth to the lips for evening looks.

How to use the Colour Intense Cream Lipstick?

For the best results — especially with more intense shades — follow a step-by-step routine that maximizes wear and pigmentation:

1. Gently exfoliate the lips beforehand to create a smooth base for optimal pigment adherence
2. Apply a lip balm and let it absorb for a few minutes; blot any excess with a tissue if needed
3. Line the lips with a matching lip liner — essential for darker shades like Honesty or statement red like Floozy to prevent feathering
4. Fill in the lips completely with the lip liner as a base for longer wear, especially with saturated shades
5. Apply the lipstick starting from the center of the lips, working towards the corners — for maximum precision, you can use a lip brush
6. Press the lips briefly together, gently blot with a tissue, and apply a second layer for more intense pigment and longer wear

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the Colour Intense Cream Lipstick last on the lips?

With correct application, the lipstick remains visibly beautiful for four to six hours. Wear time depends on the shade — darker colors like Honesty last longer due to high contrast, while lighter nudes like Whisper or Hush fade more subtly and quickly. Using a lip liner as a base significantly extends wear time for all shades.

Which color suits my skin undertone best?

For warm undertones, Muse, Sienna, Siren, and Whisper work particularly naturally. For cool undertones, Vintage Rose, Wild Rose, and Grace are more flattering. Hush, Floozy, and Honesty are relatively neutral and suit both undertones. If in doubt, check your wrist veins: blue-purple veins indicate a cool undertone, greenish veins a warm undertone.

Is this lipstick suitable for mature lips with fine lines?

Yes, this formula is especially suitable thanks to the moisturizing effect of Buriti oil and Vitamin E. The creamy texture does not settle into lines like traditional matte lipsticks often do. For best results, it is recommended to care for the lips well beforehand and optionally use a lip liner as a base for extra definition.

Does the Colour Intense Cream Lipstick contain parabens or animal ingredients?

No, the entire Colour Intense line is paraben-free, vegan, and cruelty-free. Delilah is also PETA certified and B Corp certified, meaning the brand meets strict standards in ethical production, sustainability, and social responsibility. The lipstick is also dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive lips.

Can I combine or mix multiple colors?

Absolutely. Mixing two shades is a professional technique to create a personalized color — think of combining Whisper with Hush for an even subtler nude, or Floozy with Honesty for a deeper red. Apply the base layer first, blot lightly, then add the second shade in the center of the lips for a 3D effect.
