DP Dermaceuticals Cover Recover SPF30
Cosmeceutical foundation with SPF30 in 11 skin tones
A daily foundation should do more than just conceal. Especially when the skin has just undergone a professional treatment — microneedling, laser, or chemical peel — it requires protection, repair, and calmness all at once. Cover Recover by DP Dermaceuticals combines these three functions in one formula: a broad-spectrum SPF30 based on physical filters, a restorative cocktail of copper peptides and HylaFuse hyaluronic acid, and a tonal effect that visually evens out the skin.
The Cover Recover range consists of eleven variants — nine pigmented shades from very light to deep dark, an ultra-light transparent version, and a completely pigment-free Clear. Whether the skin needs subtle refinement, full coverage, or pure protection after a treatment: there is always a variant that perfectly matches the skin type and need.
Why choose Cover Recover SPF30?
Cover Recover combines three functions that rarely come together without compromise in one product. The mineral SPF30 with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide offers full UVA/UVB protection without the chemical burden of synthetic filters — important for sensitive skin and absolutely necessary immediately after resurfacing treatments. At the same time, copper peptides and HylaFuse hyaluronic acid work on a cosmeceutical level to support repair, hydration, and collagen. Finally, the silicone texture provides buildable coverage that covers the skin without clogging pores. It is precisely this combination of sun protection, skin repair, and visible evening that makes Cover Recover used worldwide by skin therapists as the finishing step of professional treatments.
Find your ideal shade
For very light skin (Fitzpatrick I–II): Ivory suits cool pink undertones and neutralizes redness, Creme matches light skin with warm to light yellow undertones, and Sheer offers minimal refinement for those who want barely visible coverage.
For light to medium skin (Fitzpatrick II–III): Beige evens out with a neutral undertone, and Taupe suits olive or cooler medium skin with a grayish undertone.
For medium to warm bronzed skin (Fitzpatrick III–IV): Warm Beige gives a golden glow, and Sand provides a sun-kissed warm finish for those seeking more depth.
For deep and dark skin (Fitzpatrick IV–VI): Tawny suits bronze and caramel skin, Cocoa offers full coverage for deep skin tones, and Ebony is the deepest shade for Fitzpatrick VI.
For all skin types after treatment: Clear is completely pigment-free and suitable for every Fitzpatrick category as pure post-treatment protection.
How to use Cover Recover SPF30?
- Thoroughly cleanse the skin with a suitable cleanser that respects the barrier
- Apply a corrective serum or treatment ampoule and let it fully absorb
- Optionally, apply a targeted corrector on areas with pigmentation or redness
- Dispense a small amount of Cover Recover onto fingertips or a CR Blender
- Distribute with tapping motions from the center of the face outward — do not rub
- Build a second thin layer on areas that need more coverage if desired
- Touch up the application halfway through the day after intense sun exposure or heat
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I determine which Cover Recover shade suits my skin?
First, look at your undertone: blue veins on the inside of the wrist indicate a cool undertone (Ivory, Taupe), green veins indicate a warm undertone (Creme, Warm Beige, Sand). Also determine your Fitzpatrick category based on how your skin reacts to the sun. If in doubt: place a stripe of two options side by side on the jawline in daylight. The shade that visually disappears into your skin is the right match.
Can I use Cover Recover immediately after a microneedling treatment?
Yes. Cover Recover is specifically developed to be applied as the final step of a professional treatment. The mineral filters, copper peptides, and soothing ingredients support the repair process while shielding the vulnerable skin from UV radiation, bacteria, and environmental factors. For post-treatment use on very sensitive skin, Clear is often the preferred variant.
Does Cover Recover replace a separate sunscreen?
For daily urban use and normal activities, Cover Recover SPF30 offers full protection. For prolonged exposure to full sun, at the beach, or during winter sports, we recommend a separate SPF50 sun protection as a base layer under the foundation.
Does the mineral SPF leave a white or gray cast on the skin?
With the correctly chosen shade, Cover Recover does not leave a white cast. The pigmentation in each shade is specifically matched to the amount of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide in the formula, which optically cancels out the white reflection of mineral filters. For deeper skin types, the iron oxides in Tawny, Cocoa, and Ebony are precisely calculated for this.
For which skin types is Cover Recover suitable?
Cover Recover is suitable for all skin types: oily, combination, dry, sensitive, mature, problematic, and skin with rosacea. The silicone base is non-comedogenic and the mineral filters do not cause allergic reactions as chemical absorbers sometimes do. For very reactive skin, we recommend first doing a small test on the jawline.
