Jane Iredale Skintuition Brightening Under Eye Concealer

Concealer for dark circles with peptides in 16 shades

The Jane Iredale Skintuition Brightening Under Eye Concealer is a skincare concealer for the delicate eye contour, designed for women seeking both immediate coverage and long-term care in one product. With sixteen carefully curated shades — ranging from very light with a neutral undertone to very deep with a red undertone — the collection offers a suitable match for every skin tone and undertone.

Dark circles, fine lines, and a tired look around the eyes are not superficial issues. They arise from a combination of thin skin, pigment buildup, lack of sleep, moisture loss, and collagen breakdown. The Skintuition collection addresses all these factors simultaneously with a formula centered around Active Peptide Complex, niacinamide, and bioactive marine extract — a combination that provides immediate camouflage and visibly improves the eye contour over time.

Why choose this concealer?

The Skintuition concealer is more than a camouflaging product. It is a skincare formula distinguished by three key features. First, the shade depth: sixteen shades with attention to both undertone and pigment depth, including specially developed shades for very deep skin that is structurally underrepresented in many brands. Next, the weightless, flexible texture that moves with expression and does not settle into fine lines. Finally, the clinically proven effectiveness: in a study of 32 women, 93% saw an immediate improvement in dark circles and 87% an increase in skin hydration.

Find your ideal shade

Choosing the right shade depends on two factors: how light or dark your skin is and what undertone you have. The undertone is the underlying color temperature of your skin and remains the same throughout the year, even if your skin tans slightly in summer. A simple test is to look at the veins on your wrists: blue or purple indicates a cool undertone, green a warm undertone, and if you see both, your undertone is probably neutral.

For a very light to light skin, there are three options available. The F1 is the lightest shade with a neutral undertone. The L2 has pink undertones for a light skin with a cool appearance, and the L3 is the neutral counterpart to L2.

For a light-medium skin, you choose between three undertones. The LM4 is neutral, the LM5 has pink undertones, and the LM6 has warm golden undertones for a skin with an olive glow.

In the medium spectrum, you will find the M7 with peach undertones to neutralize bluish circles, and the M8 with pink undertones for a cool medium skin tone.

For the medium-dark skin, there are two shades. The MD9 has peach undertones that naturally correct purplish circles, and the MD10 has golden undertones for a skin with caramel or bronze glow.

In the dark range, you choose between the D11 with golden undertones for a honey-brown skin, and the D12 with neutral undertones for a balanced dark skin without pronounced warmth.

For the deep skin, there are two special shades. The DP13 has warm golden undertones for a skin with a mahogany glow, and the DP14 has peach undertones for a deep skin with a red-warm appearance.

Finally, the collection offers two shades for the very deep skin that are structurally missing in most brands. The DPR15 has a red undertone for a very deep skin with a burgundy or ebony glow, and the DPR16 has a neutral undertone for a balanced very deep skin tone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know what undertone my skin has?

The easiest way is to look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in bright daylight. Blue or purple veins indicate a cool undertone (pink), green veins a warm undertone (yellow or gold), and if you see both, your undertone is probably neutral. A second clue is your jewelry preference: silver suits cool undertones better, gold suits warm undertones, and both suit neutral undertones.

Can I mix two adjacent shades for a custom match?

Yes, mixing two adjacent shades is a common technique. Many skin tones vary slightly through the seasons — a fraction warmer in summer, cooler in winter. By mixing two shades side by side on the back of your hand, you can precisely match your current skin tone for a seamless result.

Is the Skintuition concealer suitable for mature skin with fine lines?

The formula is deliberately developed to move with the skin and not settle into fine lines. Active Peptide Complex also stimulates collagen production, which visually softens fine lines over time. For mature skin, good preparation with hydration and building up in thin layers is essential.

Does this concealer contain SPF?

No, the Skintuition concealer does not contain SPF. For sun protection on the eye contour, you can apply a separate SPF before using the concealer, or choose an integrated solution such as a day cream or foundation with built-in SPF.
