Cosmedix Mask & Balm

Weekly reset for cleansing, hydration, and recovery

A mask or balm is the step in a skincare routine that you don’t do daily, but precisely because of that, the results are clearly visible. While daily serums and moisturizers work on structural buildup, a mask provides a concentrated treatment in ten to fifteen minutes — targeting one specific skin goal. A balm plays a similar role but as a targeted spot treatment for very dry, cracked, or irritated skin.

The Cosmedix mask and balm range is built around clear skin goals: deep cleansing, exfoliation, hydration, brightening, and recovery. Whether you want to reset your pores weekly, restore radiance to a dull complexion, or find a quick solution for chapped lips and a rough skin barrier — within this collection, you’ll find the targeted approach. The Cosmedix philosophy of chirally correct ingredients and soothing botanicals is also reflected in this category, making the masks and balms suitable for various skin types.

Why choose Cosmedix masks and balms?

Cosmedix works with chirally correct actives and botanical extracts in formulas free from parabens, phthalates, or sulfates. The masks deliver professional results for home use — from active charcoal and cranberry enzymes to bamboo extract, peptides, and mango butter. Even in the weekly reset step, the skin stays balanced thanks to the calming ingredients included in every formula.

Find your ideal Cosmedix mask

Cleansing and detoxifying. For those who want to purify pores and remove pollution, excess sebum, and makeup residue: Detox is a charcoal mask that actively draws out impurities from pores — suitable for both morning and evening, also for sensitive skin. Clear targets blemishes, blackheads, and acne-prone skin more specifically.

Exfoliating. For those who want to brighten a dull complexion and refine skin texture: Pure Enzymes is an enzyme mask with cranberry enzymes, L-lactic acid, and glutathione that visibly smooths and brightens in three to ten minutes.

Hydrating and nourishing. For dry, thirsty, or mature skin seeking intensive nourishment: Restore is a rich cream mask with mango butter, squalane, and hyaluronic acid — also suitable as an overnight treatment. If you want to try it first or need a travel size: Restore 37ml is the same formula in a carry-on size.

Brightening. For dull skin tone and visible pigmentation spots: Glow Bamboo Brightening Mask combines bamboo extract with brightening ingredients for visibly radiant skin. The 37ml travel size is ideal for on the go or as an introduction.

Sheet masks for immediate effect. For a quick hydration boost or professional finish for an event: the Bio Cellulose Mask offers four bio-cellulose sheet masks that deeply hydrate and soothe the skin. The Micro Sheet Mask contains five sheet masks with microneedling technology for deeper absorption of active ingredients.

Balms for targeted care. Rescue is a multi-purpose hydrating balm for very dry, cracked, or irritated skin — usable on the face, lips, elbows, hands, and eczema-prone areas. Enhance Lip Plumping Mask specifically targets the lips with peptides, shea butter, and cocoa butter for visibly fuller and softer lips.

How do you use a Cosmedix mask in your routine?

1. First, thoroughly cleanse and tone the skin so the mask can work directly on a clean base
2. Start with a cleansing or exfoliating mask if the skin needs it — think of Detox or Clear for the pores, or Pure Enzymes for a smoother surface
3. Optionally follow with a hydrating or brightening mask if you do a two-step routine — for example, Restore for deep nourishment or Glow Bamboo for extra radiance
4. For a quick boost or special occasion: choose a sheet mask like the Bio Cellulose Mask or Micro Sheet Mask and apply it directly to the face
5. Leave the mask on for the time indicated on the packaging — usually ten to fifteen minutes for cream and clay masks, twenty minutes for sheet masks
6. Rinse off cream and clay masks with lukewarm water; gently remove sheet masks and pat the remaining serum into the skin
7. Use Rescue or Enhance as a targeted balm treatment on areas needing extra care, at any time of day
8. Finish the routine with your serum and moisturizer, and always with sun protection as the last step in the morning

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I use a Cosmedix mask?

For most masks, one to two times per week is a good rhythm. Cleansing and exfoliating masks like Detox, Clear, and Pure Enzymes no more than twice a week to avoid disrupting the skin barrier. Hydrating masks like Restore or sheet masks can be used more often — if desired, multiple times per week or even as an overnight treatment.

Can I use two different Cosmedix masks in the same routine?

Yes, this is called multi-masking and is an efficient approach for those with different skin zones having different needs. A classic example: Detox on the T-zone for pores, Restore on the cheeks for hydration. Leave both on at the same time and then rinse off together.

Which Cosmedix masks are safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Suitable options include Restore, Pure Enzymes, Bio Cellulose Mask, Micro Sheet Mask, Rescue, and Enhance. Masks containing salicylic acid or strong exfoliants require caution — always consult your midwife or skin therapist if in doubt.

What is the difference between a mask and a balm?

A mask works within a defined application time — usually ten to fifteen minutes — and is then rinsed off or removed. A balm like Rescue or Enhance remains on the skin and works continuously until the next cleansing. Balms are therefore suitable for targeted spot treatment of very dry, cracked, or irritated areas, even multiple times a day.
