Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm SPF15 Buff 4g

Nude lip balm with SPF 15 and carrot seed oil

The perfect nude lip color is for many women the foundation of a polished look — the shade you apply without thinking, and that always works. Yet most nude balms miss the balance between color and care: they are either too colorless or too drying. The Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm SPF15 Buff was developed for that middle ground where daily care and subtle color meet.

Buff is a sheer nude shade that softly enhances the natural lip color with a warm, neutral undertone. As a tinted variant within the LipDrink line, the Jane Iredale Lip Balm Buff combines broad-spectrum SPF 15 based on titanium dioxide with nourishing plant oils and antioxidant-rich plant extracts. The fresh lemon flavor makes the balm especially pleasant to apply regularly throughout the day.

Color: a warm, neutral nude that subtly evens out the natural lip color and gives a well-groomed appearance.

Benefits

• Gives a universal nude shade that suits almost any look and outfit
• Protects with broad-spectrum SPF 15 against UVA and UVB rays
• Ideal as a base layer under your favorite lipstick or gloss
• Long-lasting hydration thanks to avocado oil, carrot seed oil, and waxes
• Discreet shade that works well both casually and professionally

Active ingredients

Titanium Dioxide 1.75%: This mineral UV filter protects the delicate lip skin against UVA and UVB rays without chemical absorption. Titanium dioxide also contributes to the soft, evening effect of the nude pigmentation in the Jane Iredale Lip Drink Buff — the balm covers small irregularities in the natural lip color without becoming opaque.

Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil: Carrot seed oil soothes and nourishes the lip barrier and provides beta-carotene that contributes to antioxidant effects. For a nude shade like Buff, an even, hydrated lip base is essential — dryness otherwise makes the subtle pigmentation appear patchy.

Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil: Avocado oil deeply hydrates and restores the lip barrier thanks to essential fatty acids and vitamin E. This oil gives the Jane Iredale Lip Drink Buff its characteristic smooth, cushiony texture that is pleasant to wear daily.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract: Aloe vera soothes irritated or dry lips and has a slight cooling effect — especially valuable after a day in the sun or in windy weather.

Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract & Tocopherol: These two antioxidants neutralize free radicals caused by UV radiation and air pollution. They form an additional protective shield on top of the SPF protection for complete daily care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Buff suitable under a bright lipstick?

Absolutely. The Jane Iredale LipDrink lip balm Buff is the ideal base layer under red, berry, or dark lipsticks. The nude undertone evens out the natural lip color and ensures the top color applies evenly and brightly.

Does Buff also work on darker skin types?

Yes. On darker skin types, the Jane Iredale lip balm Buff gives a slight brightening effect on the lips, adding subtle definition. For extra warmth, you can combine the balm with a warm-rose or caramel lip pencil.

Can I use the Jane Iredale LipDrink lip balm Buff as night lip care?

For night care, we recommend a non-tinted, dedicated lip mask or the Sheer variant. The Jane Iredale LipDrink Buff is primarily developed for daytime use, with SPF 15 serving its central function alongside hydration and the subtle nude tint.

Is the shade visible on pale lips?

On pale lips, the Jane Iredale lip balm Buff adds a warm, cared-for undertone that naturally enhances the natural color without clearly appearing as lipstick.
