Jane Iredale Dream Tint® Tinted Moisturizer SPF15

Tinted day cream SPF15 in 7 colors for every skin tone

The Jane Iredale Dream Tint Tinted Moisturizer SPF15 is a tinted day cream that combines hydration, light coverage, and mineral sun protection in one product. For those who don’t want a full foundation but seek a cared-for, even complexion, this formula is the ideal daily base. The collection includes seven colors, carefully selected so every skin tone from very light to deep dark finds a suitable shade — complemented by two special variants for correction and sculpting.

What sets Dream Tint apart from an ordinary tinted day cream is the mineral approach. The SPF 15 protection comes from titanium dioxide, a physical UV filter that works immediately upon application and is well tolerated by sensitive skin. The pigments are made from iron oxides that respect the natural color play of every skin tone — no ashy effect, no orange undertone, but a finish that looks like a refined version of your own skin.

Why choose a Jane Iredale tinted day cream?

Jane Iredale is a global leader in mineral makeup and known for formulas that not only color the skin but also actively care for it. The Dream Tint line combines this philosophy with an exceptionally light texture that lets the skin breathe. The formula is vegan, gluten-free, reef safe, and water resistant for up to 40 minutes. Moreover, Dream Tint is recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation as effective broad-spectrum sun protection — a recognition rarely given to tinted cosmetics.

Find your ideal Dream Tint color

The Dream Tint collection consists of five foundation shades that follow the natural progression from light to dark, plus two special variants for specific needs. The classification below helps you quickly make the right choice.

For light to medium-light skin types: The Light is developed for the fairest skin with a neutral undertone, ideal for those who want a porcelain complexion with healthy freshness. The Medium Light serves as a transition with a subtle yellow undertone and suits most Northern European skin types that lighten seasonally.

For medium skin types: The Medium is tailored to warm medium beige skin with a yellow undertone — the most common skin tone in Europe. A shade that wears comfortably all year round without discoloration or oxidation.

For medium-dark to dark skin types: The Medium Dark has a warm golden brown undertone ideal for olive to lightly tinted skin. The Dark is made up of warm red-brown iron oxides that enhance the natural richness of dark skin without an ashy effect.

For correction and sculpting: The Peach Brightener is a color corrector that neutralizes blue-purple dark circles and hyperpigmentation according to the principle of complementary color theory. The Warm Bronze functions as a bronzer, foundation mixer, or full shade for deeper skin tones — multifunctional for sculpting and a sunny glow.

How to use a tinted day cream with SPF?

A tinted day cream is applied after your skincare and before any additional makeup. Follow the order below for optimal results:

1. Thoroughly cleanse the face and apply toner if desired
2. Apply your daily serum and let it fully absorb
3. Dispense an amount of Dream Tint the size of a dime and warm briefly between your fingertips
4. Spread with upward movements from the center of the face outward, or use a Liquid Complexion Brush for a smoother finish
5. Apply Peach Brightener spotwise under the eyes or on pigmentation spots if correction is desired
6. Set with a mineral powder foundation for extra coverage and longevity if desired
7. Finally, optionally add Warm Bronze on the high points of the face for sculpting and warmth

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Dream Tint color suits my skin best?

Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in daylight. Green veins indicate a warm undertone, blue-purple a cool undertone. Most Dream Tint colors have a warm or neutral yellow undertone, which matches the vast majority of European skin types. If you’re unsure between two shades, choose the lighter one — the formula is forgiving due to its light coverage.

Is SPF 15 enough for daily sun protection?

SPF 15 covers daily indoor use and short outdoor moments like commuting or a walk. If you stay longer in the sun, combine Dream Tint with Powder-Me SPF Dry Sunscreen for total SPF 30 protection. For beach or mountain vacations, additional sun protection is always recommended.

Can I mix multiple colors?

Absolutely, and that is one of the best features of Dream Tint. Mix Medium with Warm Bronze for a gradual transition to a summer complexion, or apply Peach Brightener spotwise under your chosen foundation shade for extra brightening on problem areas.

Is Dream Tint suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. The mineral UV filter titanium dioxide is exceptionally well tolerated, even for those who cannot use chemical sunscreens. The formula is also vegan, gluten-free, and contains nourishing ingredients like jojoba oil and shea butter that support the skin barrier instead of burdening it.
