Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm SPF15

Hydrating lip balm with SPF 15 in 4 shades

The Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm combines broad-spectrum SPF 15 protection with long-lasting hydration in four carefully curated shades — from completely clear to warm peachy pink and fresh berry. Based on mineral titanium dioxide, this lip balm protects against UVA and UVB rays, while carrot seed oil, avocado oil, and antioxidant-rich plant extracts nourish and soothe the lips.

The delicate lip barrier is often overlooked in daily care routines, even though the lips are up to six times thinner than the surrounding facial skin and have little natural protection against UV damage. The Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm fills that gap perfectly: daily sun protection, hydration, and a subtle natural tint — all wrapped in a fresh lemon flavor that makes reapplying pleasant and easy.

Why choose the LipDrink Lip Balm SPF15?

The LipDrink line stands out by combining mineral UV protection and dermatologically caring ingredients in one step. Recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation and fully reef-safe formulated, this balm offers daily protection without compromising comfort or skin tolerance. All four variants are vegan, gluten-free, and suitable for all skin types — including sensitive or easily irritated lips.

Find your ideal shade

The four shades in this collection are divided into two groups, so you can quickly find the balm that fits your daily routine and desired effect.

Colorless and universal: Sheer is the completely transparent variant without pigmentation — pure care and SPF protection, suitable for men, women, and children. Buff adds a subtle, warm nude tint that evens out the natural lip color and works especially well as a base layer under full lipstick.

Tinted variants for a color accent: Flirt is a sheer peachy pink that adds a warm, summery glow and flatters warm and neutral skin tones. Crush offers a sheer berry tint with a cool undertone for freshness and definition, ideal for cool and neutral skin tones or as a wearable alternative to full berry lipsticks.

How to use the Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm?

1. Apply the balm generously on clean lips as the first step of your morning routine or immediately after a cleansing day cream
2. Wear solo for pure care and SPF protection, or use as a base layer under your favorite lipstick or gloss — optionally combine with a Jane Iredale Lip Pencil for extra definition
3. Don’t forget the cupid’s bow, corners of the mouth, and directly under the lower lip — these are areas that dry out quickly and are often missed
4. Reapply every two hours when exposed to direct sunlight for full UV protection, and immediately after eating, drinking, or wiping the lips
5. Use the tinted variants also on the cheeks as an on-the-go cheek tint with SPF protection — a handy beauty trick for travel and busy days

Frequently Asked Questions

Which shade suits my skin type best?

As a general guideline: Sheer is universal and works for everyone. Buff flatters all skin types with a subtle nude warmth. Flirt works best on warm and neutral skin tones with golden undertones, while Crush looks beautiful on cool and neutral skin tones with pink or blue undertones.

Is the LipDrink Lip Balm suitable for sensitive lips?

Yes. The formula is vegan, gluten-free, and based on mineral titanium dioxide instead of chemical sunscreens. Aloe vera and lotus extract soothe irritated or dry lips, making the balm especially suitable for sensitive skin types.

How often should I reapply the balm for full SPF protection?

For complete UV protection, we recommend reapplying the Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm every two hours when exposed to sunlight, and immediately after eating or drinking. For normal indoor use, reapplying three to four times a day is sufficient.

Can I use the balm under my lipstick?

Absolutely. The LipDrink Lip Balm works excellently as a hydrating base layer under any lipstick or gloss. The balm adds SPF protection and ensures the top color applies evenly and smoothly — especially recommended under matte formulas that dry out quickly.

Is the LipDrink Lip Balm suitable for children?

Yes. The Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm contains no harsh sunscreens, parabens, or gluten, making it mild and safe for children's lips that need extra protection during outdoor play, winter sports, or summer vacations.
