Jane Iredale PureMatch Liquid Concealer

True-to-skin liquid concealer in 16 colors with matching brushes

A concealer that perfectly matches your skin is rare. Most brands offer only a handful of colors that try to cover the full spectrum from fair to deep — resulting in users with olive, warm-peach, chocolate brown, or other specific undertones never finding a truly matching shade. Moreover, many concealers are designed for a single purpose, while in practice you want to use the same product for concealing, brightening, and contouring.

The Jane Iredale PureMatch Liquid Concealer collection offers 16 colors with precisely matched undertones — 7 neutral (N) and 9 warm (W) — for a seamless match from fair to deeper skin. The liquid formula has medium, buildable coverage with a soft matte finish that does not oxidize all day, and a precision doe-foot applicator that allows both targeted spot application and broader coverage. Fully vegan, gluten-free, non-comedogenic, and enriched with nourishing plant oils. The collection is complete with five brushes for various application techniques.

Why choose PureMatch Liquid Concealer?

PureMatch stands out due to its unusually wide color range and the versatility of one product. While the regular Enlighten and Circle Delete focus on specific color correction (dark circles, redness, hyperpigmentation), PureMatch is an all-over true-to-skin concealer that matches your own skin tone — or lighter as a brightener, or darker as a contour. The formula is vegan (no beeswax, unlike Enlighten and Circle Delete), long-wear without oxidizing, and nourishing with Prickly Pear, Indian Dammar, and vitamin E. The range of 16 colors makes PureMatch especially accessible for skin tones rarely well matched by regular lines — olive, warm-peach, golden bronze, and rich chocolate brown.

How to use PureMatch Liquid Concealer?

1. Cleanse and care for your skin with your daily routine and apply your serum and moisturizer
2. Determine your correct color — look at both the intensity (fair, light, medium, dark, deep, deeper) and the undertone (N for neutral, W for warm)
3. Optionally apply your foundation first as a base
4. Dispense a small amount of concealer on the doe-foot applicator and dot it on the spot — pointwise for small imperfections, flat for larger areas
5. Blend quickly and thoroughly with the Concealer Brush for the under-eye area, the Camouflage Brush for spot coverage, or the Crease Brush for finer corners
6. Want to brighten? Choose a shade or two lighter than your base color and apply under the eyes, on the bridge of the nose, and between the eyebrows — blend with the Fluffy Eye Brush
7. Want to contour? Choose a shade or two darker and place under the cheekbones, along the jawline, and on the sides of the nose — build up with the Flat Eye Brush
8. Set with a light layer of translucent powder for even longer wear
9. Finish in the morning with a separate SPF protection — PureMatch itself contains no SPF

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the N colors and W colors?

N stands for neutral undertone, W for warm undertone. Unsure? Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. Green veins indicate a warm or olive undertone (choose W or 10N for olive). Blue or purple veins indicate a neutral or cooler undertone (choose N). When in doubt, the N color is usually the safest choice.

How do I choose from 16 colors?

Think in two steps. Step 1: determine your intensity (fair, light, medium, dark, deep, deeper) — which category fits your natural skin? Step 2: determine your undertone (N or W). If you are unsure between two consecutive colors, choose the safest option: when in doubt about undertone, choose N; when in doubt about intensity, choose the lighter one. Check the individual product pages for detailed comparisons between nearby colors.

What is the difference between PureMatch and Circle Delete or Enlighten?

PureMatch is an all-over concealer that matches your own skin tone, suitable for the entire face. Circle Delete and Enlighten are color-correcting concealers with peach or yellow tint to visually neutralize underlying discolorations. They are complementary: use Circle Delete or Enlighten for targeted color correction, PureMatch on top for matching finish. Only PureMatch is also vegan.

Does PureMatch contain SPF?

No. For UV protection, Jane Iredale recommends finishing with Powder-Me SPF, an SPF foundation, or wearing separate sun protection. Want concealer with built-in SPF? Then check out the Enlighten Plus Under-eye Concealer collection with SPF 30 or SPF 20.

Is PureMatch vegan?

Yes, all 16 colors of PureMatch are completely vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. This is an important difference from Enlighten and Circle Delete, which contain beeswax. The five brushes in this collection are also vegan and cruelty-free thanks to their synthetic fibers.
