Youngblood Foundation

Three foundation lines for every skin type, skin depth, and desired finish

Foundation is not one product but a choice — a choice that depends on skin type, desired coverage, finish, and how you want to integrate makeup into your routine. That is why Youngblood offers not one but three complete foundation lines, each with its own philosophy and application. From the classic mineral powder that forms the foundation of the brand, through the skincare-rich liquid variant to the modern 70% skincare BeyondBlur — each range is dermatologically tested, buildable in coverage, and developed for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Every Youngblood foundation is built around the same core promise: pure ingredients without unnecessary fillers, color matching across the full range of skin depths, and coverage that supports rather than masks the skin. What distinguishes the three lines is their texture, finish, and skincare profile — and those differences determine which range suits your skin. On this page, we compare the three foundation lines side by side, so you can quickly assess which variant best matches your skin type, daily routine, and desired final result.

Our three Youngblood Foundation lines

Each line has its own strong point. Below is a brief introduction to each range, with a direct link to the complete collection, including all available shades, ingredient profiles, and detailed product descriptions.

Youngblood Natural Loose Mineral Foundation

The classic that put the brand on the international map — a minimalist mineral powder with just six ingredients, buildable to full coverage and developed in the dermatological field. Youngblood loose foundation is the logical choice for oily or combination skin, customers who want to reduce shine without drying out their skin, and anyone who values the purity of mineral makeup over liquid formulas.

• Texture: Loose mineral powder
• Finish: Satin (satin matte finish)
• Coverage: Buildable from sheer to full
• Ideal for: Oily, combination, and acne-prone skin, sensitive skin
• Number of shades at Glamskin: 15
• Special: Just 6 ingredients, no silicones, no parabens

The Youngblood loose foundation remains unmatched for customers seeking a truly mineral experience — the formula remains stable for years when stored correctly and delivers a second-skin effect without looking cakey or mask-like.

Youngblood Liquid Mineral Foundation

The liquid formula with an extensive skincare profile—award-winning, with an average rating of 4.8 from more than 500 reviews. This range combines Deep Sea Water from the Korea East Sea with Squalane, Cucumber, Calendula, Chamomile, and Green Tea in a clean formula that actively hydrates and strengthens the skin while you wear it.

• Texture: Liquid foundation (pump)
• Finish: Luminous dewy
• Coverage: Light to medium, buildable
• Ideal for: Dry, dehydrated, mature, and sensitive skin
• Number of shades at Glamskin: 9
• Special features: Deep Sea Water complex, long-standing bestseller

This range is the logical choice for customers who want a dewy finish and skin that benefits from extra hydration. The liquid formula is excellent for mixing shades to accommodate seasonal changes.

Youngblood BeyondBlur Skin Perfecting Foundation

The newest range—a modern full-coverage foundation with 70% skincare ingredients, including Hyaluronic Acid, Bio-Peptides, and the exclusive REMTrio® Complex. Clinically tested and water-resistant and transfer-proof for up to 12 hours. This foundation represents the next generation of the brand: a broader shade range (including olive undertones) and a filter-like finish with a soft-matte effect.

• Texture: Liquid foundation (pump)
• Finish: Luminous soft-matte
• Coverage: Full coverage, buildable
• Ideal for: All skin types seeking to combine full coverage with skincare benefits
• Number of shades at Glamskin: 11
• Special features: 70% skincare, up to 12 hours of water resistance, filter finish
• Clinical results: 100% comfortable matte finish, 100% improved skin texture, 89% filter effect

BeyondBlur is the logical choice for customers who want the longest wear, need distinctive olive shades, or are accustomed to full-coverage foundations with modern skincare technology.

Which Youngblood Foundation is right for me?

The choice between the three ranges is determined by three main factors: skin type, desired finish, and desired coverage. The quick decision tree below helps determine the right range:

• Oily or combination skin + matte finish → Natural Loose Mineral Foundation
• Dry, mature, or dehydrated skin + dewy finish → Liquid Mineral Foundation
• Full coverage with skincare benefits + up to 12 hours of wear → BeyondBlur Skin Perfecting Foundation

For customers who are unsure: it is perfectly fine to use two ranges at the same time. Many customers combine the Liquid Mineral Foundation as a hydrating base with the Natural Loose Mineral Foundation as a finishing layer for extra staying power—the best of both worlds.

Youngblood foundation swatches and shade selection

For the most accurate shade match, we always recommend swatching along the jawline in daylight and checking which shade blends seamlessly into the skin of the neck. Youngblood foundation swatches differ noticeably between the three ranges—the same skin tone does not automatically require the same shade name in every line.

Official recommendations for switching between ranges:

• Loose Honey → Liquid Capri
• Loose Barely Beige → Liquid Sun Kissed
• Loose Cool Beige → Liquid Bisque (available directly from Youngblood)
• Pressed Tawnee (from the old range) → Liquid Golden Tan

For BeyondBlur, the shade-code system (LW, LC, MN, MW, TN, TW followed by a number) corresponds directly to skin depth and undertone, making it more intuitive to find a shade within that range.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose between the three youngblood foundation shade ranges if I have never used anything from the brand before?

For first-time users, the easiest way to choose is based on skin type and finish preference. Oily or combination skin with a preference for a matte finish → start with Loose Mineral. Dry or mature skin with a preference for a dewy finish → start with Liquid Mineral. If you want full coverage with the latest ingredient technology → choose BeyondBlur. For personalized advice on youngblood foundation shades, you can always contact us through the webshop.

Where can I find a youngblood foundation review for each range?

Each product page in our webshop contains detailed descriptions of every shade, including undertone, skin depth, comparisons with adjacent shades, and which skin profiles they best suit. For independent reviews, we recommend visiting Youngblood's own manufacturer page, where you can find thousands of youngblood foundation review listings for each line, with specific experiences for each skin type.

Are all Youngblood foundations suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin?

Yes, all three ranges have been dermatologically tested and are suitable for sensitive, dehydrated, and acne-prone skin. With just six ingredients, Loose Mineral is the most minimalist choice for very reactive skin. Liquid Mineral contains soothing Calendula and Chamomile, which actively help calm irritated skin. BeyondBlur contains Panthenol, which supports the skin barrier in acne-prone skin. If in doubt, we recommend a patch test along the jawline before full use.

Can I combine different youngblood foundation shades from different ranges?

Yes, many customers combine shades from Liquid Mineral and Loose Mineral for optimal hydration and lasting power: use Liquid as the base and Loose as the finishing layer. The same principle applies to BeyondBlur—the foundation can serve as the base, with Loose Mineral in the same undertone as the finishing layer for an extra-matte finish. For exact crossover recommendations, see the individual product pages for each shade.
