Ayuna Soap Rich 80g
Description
Description
Nourishing artisanal soap for demanding skin
When the skin is out of balance — due to excessive cleansing, climate influences, hormonal fluctuations, or age — it loses its natural fatty acids. The result is skin that reacts quickly, feels dry, and behaves vulnerably. An ordinary cleanser then offers insufficient support; what the skin needs is a cleanser that nourishes and restores at the same time.
Ayuna Soap Rich is artisanally made through cold saponification and exceptionally rich in borage seed oil, a Mediterranean plant oil with a high content of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Upon contact with water, this soap transforms into a creamy, velvety foam that combines deep cleansing with intensive nourishment, for soft, restored, and silky skin without a greasy afterfeel.
Benefits
- Cleanses deeply while nourishing thanks to a high concentration of borage seed oil
- Restores the skin barrier with gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a rare omega-6 fatty acid
- Soothes reactive, dry, and sensitive skin without burdening the skin barrier
- Maintains the natural moisture balance thanks to 7 to 8 percent natural glycerin
- Suitable as creamy, foaming, or watery cleanser — flexible in any skincare routine
Active ingredients
Borage seed oil (Borago officinalis): The heart of this formula. Borage seed oil contains the highest percentage of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) of all plant oils — an essential omega-6 fatty acid that the skin cannot produce itself. GLA restores the lipid barrier, soothes inflammatory reactions, and is dermatologically recognized for eczema and chronic dryness.
Natural glycerin: A byproduct of the cold saponification process, retained in this soap at a concentration of at least 7 to 8 percent. Glycerin is a natural humectant that draws moisture from the air to the skin and holds it there, leaving the skin feeling immediately comfortable after cleansing.
Olive oil: A Mediterranean base rich in oleic acid and vitamin E. Olive oil makes the skin supple, protects against oxidative damage, and strengthens the natural recovery ability of stressed skin.
Coconut oil: Provides the creamy, dense foam structure and has a mild antimicrobial effect. The medium-chain fatty acids support skin comfort and leave a soft, non-tight feeling after rinsing.
Vegetable butters and shea butter derivatives: Nourish the skin with essential fatty acids and strengthen the protective lipid barrier. This keeps the skin supple and resilient even after cleansing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Soap Rich and the regular Ayuna Soap?
Soap Rich is specifically formulated for dry, sensitive, or damaged skin and contains a higher concentration of borage seed oil without activated charcoal. The regular Ayuna Soap focuses on detoxification thanks to activated plant charcoal and is more universally applicable.
Can I use Soap Rich for eczema or very sensitive skin?
The formula is mild and barrier-strengthening thanks to the high GLA content from borage seed oil, an ingredient dermatologically valued for dry skin conditions. For medical skin conditions, it is recommended to first do a patch test or consult a skin therapist.
Does the soap dry out the skin like traditional soaps?
No, quite the opposite. The cold saponification process preserves the natural glycerin in the soap, which retains moisture in the skin. Combined with borage seed oil and olive oil, Soap Rich leaves the skin nourished and supple.
How long does a bar of Soap Rich last?
With daily use on face and neck, the 80-gram bar lasts on average two to three months. Store the soap dry between uses on a soap dish with drainage to preserve its texture.
