Description
Liquid peel with 30% AHA BHA PHA for radiant skin
Dull skin, fine lines, and visible pores are often signs that natural cell renewal is slower than before. Dead skin cells stick longer to the surface, causing uneven texture, clogged pores, and a less radiant complexion. A professionally formulated peel can restart this process, provided the formulation is perfectly balanced.
Dermalogica Liquid Peelfoliant is a professional-quality liquid peel for home use. The formula combines 30% acids and enzymes with a lipid-rich base, exfoliating the skin intensively without compromising the skin barrier. The result is smoother, more even, and visibly radiant skin within a few applications.
Benefits
- Reduces the visibility of fine lines and skin imperfections
- Evens out skin tone for a noticeably brighter appearance
- Refines the appearance of pores and helps loosen blockages
- Combines powerful exfoliation with long-lasting hydration thanks to ceramides
- Suitable for daily use after gradual build-up
Active ingredients
15% AHA complex (glycolic acid & lactic acid): Alpha hydroxy acids work on the top layer of the skin and dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells. Glycolic acid has the smallest molecule of all AHAs and penetrates the deepest, making it very effective against fine lines, dull skin, and uneven pigmentation. Lactic acid works more gently and also has a hydrating effect because it supports the skin’s natural moisture balance. Together they create smoother, radiant skin with more light reflection.
5% BHA (salicylic acid): Beta hydroxy acid is oil-soluble and can therefore penetrate deeply into the pores. There it dissolves sebum buildup, clears blockages, and inhibits the formation of blackheads and impurities. Salicylic acid also has anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for skin prone to blemishes or an oily T-zone.
PHA (gluconolactone): Polyhydroxy acid is the gentler generation of exfoliating acids with a larger molecule, making it work slower and more superficially. It is much better tolerated by sensitive skin and simultaneously strengthens the skin barrier. Additionally, PHA acts as an antioxidant and binds moisture in the skin.
5% phytic acid & tranexamic acid: Phytic acid is a mild AHA that targets pigmentation spots and helps even out skin tone by inhibiting melanin overproduction. Tranexamic acid is an ingredient used in dermatological clinics for hyperpigmentation and melasma. Together, they provide a targeted approach to spots, post-inflammatory pigmentation, and dull complexion.
10% fruit enzymes (fermented pomegranate): Enzymes break down proteins in dead skin cells without affecting living skin cells. The fermented pomegranate in this formula provides an extra antioxidant layer and helps protect the skin from free radicals during the exfoliation process.
Ceramide NP, phytosphingosine & cholesterol: This is the most remarkable part of this formula. Most peels damage the skin barrier, but Liquid Peelfoliant contains a lipid complex that actively restores the skin barrier during and after treatment. Ceramides, phytosphingosine, and cholesterol are the three building blocks that naturally make up the skin barrier, and they are replenished here in the same ratio.
Cranberry extract (upcycled) & sodium hyaluronate: Cranberry extract from food industry by-products provides antioxidants and polyphenols that nourish the skin during exfoliation. Sodium hyaluronate binds moisture deep in the skin, leaving it feeling supple and hydrated after the peel instead of tight or dry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it tingle when I apply this product?
Yes, a slight tingling during the first minute is normal and indicates the acids are active. A burning or stinging sensation is not normal and is a sign you should rinse off the product sooner or use it less often.
How often can I use this product?
Start with two to three times a week to let the skin get used to it. After four to six weeks, you can build up to daily use, provided the skin tolerates it well. Never combine Liquid Peelfoliant in the same routine with other AHA, BHA, or retinol products to avoid over-exfoliation.
Should I use SPF during the day after this peel?
Absolutely. Exfoliating acids increase the skin’s sensitivity to UV radiation. A daily sunscreen with at least SPF30 is essential to prevent pigmentation and skin aging. Never skip this step, even on cloudy days.
Can I combine Liquid Peelfoliant with retinol?
Not in the same routine. Alternate them between evenings or weeks, for example retinol on Monday and Thursday, and Liquid Peelfoliant on Tuesday and Friday. This way you benefit from both ingredients without overloading the skin barrier.
Is this product suitable for sensitive skin?
With caution. The formula contains multiple active acids, making it powerful but potentially challenging for reactive skin. Start with a short application time of one minute, do a patch test on the neck beforehand, and consult a skin therapist if in doubt.
Can I use this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Due to the presence of salicylic acid and multiple AHAs in high concentration, this product is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. During this period, choose a gentler enzymatic exfoliant and consult your midwife if in doubt.
