Description
Exfoliating cleanser with 15% glycolic acid for dull skin
A dull, uneven skin tone and stubborn impurities often have the same cause: dead skin cells that remain on the surface too long. They make the skin look gray, accentuate fine lines, and clog pores. Superficial cleansing is then not enough — a targeted chemical exfoliant can break this pattern.
The DermaQuest Glyco Gel Cleanser combines a high dose of 15% glycolic acid with 1% lactic acid in a gel formula that deeply cleanses while renewing the upper skin layer. When used two to three times a week, a smoother, brighter-looking skin emerges with a noticeably more even complexion.
Benefits
- Glycolic acid 15% loosens dead skin cells for a smooth and radiant skin surface
- Reduces visible impurities, blackheads, and rough skin texture
- Fades post-inflammatory pigmentation spots after pimples
- Works anti-aging by stimulating cell renewal and softening fine lines
- Combines exfoliation with hydration through glycerin and aloe vera
Active ingredients
Glycolic acid (15%): An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) with the smallest molecular weight, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the upper skin layers. Glycolic acid breaks down the bonds between dead skin cells and stimulates natural cell renewal. It works both to brighten pigmentation spots and as an anti-aging agent for early signs of aging.
Lactic acid (1%): A milder AHA that provides hydration to the skin alongside exfoliation. Lactic acid is naturally present in the skin and helps support moisture balance. The combination with glycolic acid offers a dual effect: superficial and deeper layers.
Rosemary leaf extract: Acts antibacterial against P. acnes bacteria and soothes redness and irritation. Additionally, rosemary slows visible signs of premature aging through its antioxidant effect — a valuable addition for acne-prone and mature skin.
Aloe vera & glycerin: Prevents the active acids from drying out the skin during cleansing. They attract moisture and keep the skin balanced, so exfoliation does not come at the expense of the skin barrier's comfort.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Glyco Gel Cleanser and the BHA Cleanser?
Glycolic acid (AHA) works on the upper skin layers and targets skin renewal, a smoother surface, and a brighter complexion. Salicylic acid (BHA) is oil-soluble and penetrates the pore itself to address blackheads and sebum buildup. Glycolic acid is more suitable for dull or mature skin, while the BHA Cleanser is better for clogged pores and blackheads.
Can I use this product on sensitive skin?
Be cautious. 15% glycolic acid is a high concentration. Build up slowly by cleansing once a week first and observing the skin's reaction. If redness or tightness persists, a milder AHA cleanser is more suitable.
Can I combine this with retinol or vitamin C?
Not on the same evening. Glycolic acid is already active on the skin, and stacking it with retinol increases the risk of irritation. Alternate: for example, use the Glyco Gel Cleanser on Monday, retinol on Wednesday, and the cleanser again on Friday. You can continue to use Vitamin C during the day.
Can I use this product during pregnancy?
High concentrations of glycolic acid are usually not recommended during pregnancy. Always consult your skin therapist or doctor before using this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
