Jane Iredale Fan Brush

Description
Airy fan brush for a soft color haze on the cheekbones
Most brushes add color — the Fan Brush does it differently. It lays a barely visible haze of color on the highest points of the face without disturbing the underlying makeup. That light touch is exactly what makes blush, bronzer, and highlighter look different on the skin than when applied concentrated: transparent, natural, and like a second skin.
The jane iredale Fan Brush — the new version of the beloved White Fan Brush — has a unique fan shape with long, airy fibers that follow the contours of the face in one arched motion. A loose grip and a sweeping movement provide the lightest color application a brush can offer. Grip closer to the ferrule or lightly squeeze the fibers for more intensity — the brush adjusts the application based on how you hold it. Also usable as a finishing tool to softly wipe away eyeshadow fallout under the eyes.
Suitable for use with:
- PurePressed® Blush
- PureBronze Shimmer Bronzer
- PureBronze Matte Bronzer
- Amazing Base® Loose Mineral Powder SPF 20/15

Brush quality & construction
Unique fan shape: The arched, open fan top is specifically designed for the highest points of the face — cheekbones, temples, bridge of the nose, and forehead. The wide shape follows the facial contours in one sweeping motion, without the need for adjustment or layering to achieve an even result.
Long, airy fibers: The extra-long, sparse fibers deliberately deliver less product than the fibers of a regular cheek brush. They touch the skin with a barely noticeable touch that deposits color transparently and naturally — never too heavy, never too visible.
Variable intensity through grip: The Fan Brush is one of the few brushes where the color intensity is directly adjusted by the way you hold it. A loose grip at the end of the handle gives the lightest color application. Grip closer to the ferrule — the metal part above the bristles — for more pressure, more contact with the skin, and more pigment. Lightly squeeze the fibers for the most intensity the brush can offer.
Sweep technique for fallout: Because the fibers are so open and airy, they also sweep away loose powder residues without disturbing makeup. A light upward movement along the under-eye lid area removes eyeshadow fallout after applying eyeshadow — a step professionals routinely use for a neat, finished look.
Vegan synthetic fibers: Fully vegan and cruelty-free, with exceptional softness that barely feels on the skin during application.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Fan Brush the successor to the White Fan Brush?
Yes. The jane iredale Fan Brush is the new version of the beloved White Fan Brush. The distinctive fan shape, airy fibers, and soft color release are fully retained. The Pro Series Fan Brush is updated with improved fiber quality and a new finish, offering exactly the application that fans of the original White Fan Brush recognize and appreciate.
When do I use the Fan Brush instead of the Cheek Brush?
The Cheek Brush has denser fibers and delivers more color — ideal for a targeted blush with more intensity on the cheekbones. The Fan Brush gives a barely visible wash of color, perfect as a light finish or for those who prefer subtle, transparent blush or bronzer. Both brushes work excellently together: apply first with the Cheek Brush, then blend and finish with the Fan Brush.
Can I really adjust the intensity through the grip?
Yes, and this is one of the most distinctive features of the Fan Brush. A loose grip at the end of the handle gives the lightest touch — the fibers barely touch the skin. Grip closer to the ferrule, the metal part above the bristles, for more pressure and more pigment release. Lightly squeeze the fibers for the most intensity the brush can offer. With one brush, you set three levels.
How do I remove eyeshadow fallout with the Fan Brush?
Take a clean Fan Brush and sweep it lightly upward along the under-eye lid area after applying eyeshadow. The open, airy fibers pick up loose powder particles without disturbing the foundation and concealer underneath — a technique professionals routinely use for a neat, professional finish.
