Schrammek Perfect Skin Peeling 50ml

Description
Gentle mechanical facial peeling for a refined complexion
Skin that looks dull despite a good daily routine often has a simple cause. Dead skin cells accumulate on the top skin layer, slowing the natural shedding process as you age — under thirty, this cell cycle takes about 28 days, but beyond that, it can extend to six weeks or longer. The result is a flat, tired-looking complexion on which even the best serums cannot work properly because they get stuck in that accumulated horny layer.
The Perfect Skin Peeling from Dr Schrammek’s Essential line is a gentle mechanical exfoliant that supports this process without damaging the skin barrier. The creamy formula with natural Rhassoul particles removes excess sebum and dead skin cells, while apricot kernel oil and vitamin E continue to nourish the skin during exfoliation. As a result, the skin does not feel dry or tight after rinsing, but refined, supple, and visibly fresher. When used once or twice a week, this peeling is mild enough for sensitive skin and effective enough to noticeably improve the performance of serums and day creams applied afterward.

Active ingredients
Rhassoul (Perlite): A natural volcanic mineral that has been used for centuries in Moroccan beauty rituals to purify the skin. The fine particles are round and regular in shape, unlike sharp crystals or hard nut powders that can cause micro-tears in the skin. This allows Rhassoul to exfoliate thoroughly without damaging the skin barrier — an important difference from more aggressive scrubs.
Apricot kernel oil (Prunus Armeniaca): A light, fast-absorbing oil rich in oleic acid and vitamin A. During peeling, this oil forms a protective layer that prevents the skin from drying out. At the same time, apricot kernel oil strengthens the skin barrier and provides antioxidant protection against free radicals — especially relevant at the moment the top skin layer is removed.
Sea chamomile (Tripleurospermum Maritimum): A lesser-known variety of chamomile that specifically grows in marine areas. The extract has a skin-protective and soothing effect and is especially valuable in a peeling product because the skin is temporarily more sensitive and prone to redness during peeling.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol): A powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from oxidative damage. In a peel where the top skin cells are removed, vitamin E helps prevent the newly exposed cells from being damaged too quickly by external stressors. Additionally, vitamin E smooths and contributes to the soft skin feel immediately after treatment.
How to use
- Cleanse the face thoroughly — preferably with the Super Soft Cleanser
- Apply a coin-sized amount to slightly damp skin
- Massage in circular motions over forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin
- Avoid the eye area — the skin there is too thin for mechanical peeling
- Leave on for one to two minutes so the oils can work
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and continue with your usual routine
- Use once or twice a week, no more often
Suitable for
- Dull skin that looks tired despite a good routine
- Skin with roughness, small bumps, or uneven texture
- Those who want serums or day creams to absorb better
- Sensitive skin that cannot tolerate aggressive chemical peels
- Normal to dry skin looking for a gentle scrub moment
- Weekly ritual as preparation for a face mask
Frequently asked questions
How often can I use this peeling?
Once or twice a week is ideal. Peeling more often can weaken the skin barrier, even with a mild formula like this. For very sensitive skin, once a week is usually enough. For normal or oily skin, you can go up to twice a week without overstimulating the skin.
Can I combine this peeling with chemical exfoliants like AHA or BHA?
Yes, but preferably not on the same day. Mechanical and chemical peelings work through different mechanisms — the first removes dead skin cells by friction, the second by enzymatic action. Alternate them on different days to prevent over-peeling. On the evening after scrubbing, it’s better to use a soothing serum than an active acid.
Is this peeling suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The Rhassoul particles are round and uniform in shape, and the formula contains no harsh ingredients. Sea chamomile and apricot kernel oil soothe the skin during peeling. With active redness, eczema, or very reactive skin at the moment, we recommend waiting until the skin is calm again.
Why does my skin not feel dry or tight after peeling?
That is exactly what sets this formula apart. In addition to exfoliating particles, the product contains apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil, and vitamin E that continue to nourish the skin during peeling. This way, dead skin cells disappear without washing away the skin lipids — the skin feels refined rather than dry afterward.
When do I use the peeling in my routine?
Preferably in the evening, after the cleanser and before the toner. The skin is calm then and has time to recover overnight. Follow with the Herbal Care Lotion and finish with a rich night cream like the Hydra Maximum Night Cream or Special Care Cream — immediately after a peeling, the skin noticeably absorbs active ingredients better.
