Dr Schrammek Essential

Daily skincare for normal, dry, and sensitive skin

Not every skin needs an extensive therapy. For most people, the key to healthy, resilient skin is not in an ever-growing list of active ingredients or expensive treatments, but in a thoughtful basic routine that is consistently maintained day after day. The Essential line from Dr Schrammek is developed exactly for this: a complete range of products for the daily care of normal, dry, and sensitive skin — mild enough for permanent use and effective enough to make a noticeable difference.

What sets the Essential line apart is the combination of effective active ingredients with skin-friendly care. Panthenol, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and herbal extracts such as yarrow and lemon balm form the core, supplemented with clinically proven actives like ursolic acid and the EnergiNius™ complex against blue light. The result is noticeably softer, hydrated, and more resilient skin without the risks often associated with aggressive cosmetic routines. The line is developed by dermatologists and is used worldwide by professional skin therapists — a reliable choice for those who want to work structurally towards healthy skin.

Step by step through the Essential routine

Step 1: Cleanse A thorough yet gentle cleansing is the foundation. For those who like a creamy cleansing milk, the Schrammek Super Soft Cleanser 200ml offers a nourishing formula with jojoba and avocado that does not wash away skin lipids — ideal for dry or sensitive skin that feels tight after classic cleansers. For on the go, the Super Soft Cleanser 50ml travel size is available as a handy travel format. Those who prefer a foam texture can choose the Schrammek Soft Foam Cleanser 120ml — a mild plant-based foam with betaine and inositol that hydrates during cleansing.

Step 2: Tone After cleansing, a toner balances the skin and prepares it for the next steps. The Schrammek Herbal Care Lotion 200ml is an alcohol-free soothing toner with panthenol, yarrow, and lemon balm — the choice for those seeking calm and recovery after cleansing. For on the go, the Herbal Care Lotion 50ml travel size is available. For dull, tired skin that needs a boost, the Schrammek Activating Skin Tonic 200ml is a better choice — an activating formula with green tea, betaine, and aloe vera that restores the skin to a fresh, rosy appearance.

Step 3: Weekly exfoliation Weekly exfoliation prevents a dull complexion and prepares the skin for better absorption of follow-up products. The Schrammek Perfect Skin Peeling 50ml is a mild mechanical peeling with natural Rhassoul particles and apricot kernel oil that removes dead skin cells without damaging the skin barrier — suitable for once or twice a week.

Step 4: Eye contour The eye area requires special care due to the thin and sensitive skin. The Schrammek High Perfection Eye Cream 15ml combines caffeine, the capillary-strengthening Biophytex®, and hyaluronic acid in a fragrance-free formula that addresses dark circles, morning puffiness, and fine lines simultaneously.

Step 5: 24-hour care The right day and night cream forms the heart of the routine. The Schrammek Special Care Cream 50ml is the bestseller of the line — a 24-hour cream with shea butter, panthenol, and ursolic acid that showed 73.82% improvement in skin redness and 28.93% strengthening of the skin barrier in independent clinical research within seven days. For on the go or as an introductory size, the Special Care Cream 15ml travel size is available.

Step 6: Daytime protection Daily sun protection is the most underestimated step in a skincare routine. The Schrammek Optimum Protection Cream SPF30 75ml combines day cream and SPF30 in one — ideal for those who want to simplify their morning routine without compromising on protection. For holidays, intense sun exposure, or a tendency to pigmentation spots, the Schrammek Solar+ Protect Fluid SPF50+ 50ml offers higher protection as an 'on-top' fluid over your regular day cream — so you don’t have to give up your trusted routine.

Step 7: Makeup with care The BB Perfect Beauty Fluid combines light coverage with skincare and SPF20 in three shades. The BB Perfect Beauty Fluid Ivory 40ml suits light cool skin, the BB Perfect Beauty Fluid Peach 40ml suits light warm skin, and the BB Perfect Beauty Fluid Beige 40ml suits medium to slightly darker skin.

Step 8: Intensive treatment for tired skin At seasonal changes, after a busy period, or before an important moment, the Schrammek Energy Plus Ampoule 7x 2ml offers a concentrated 7-day treatment with Coenzyme Q10, plant-based Vitanol® Bio, and the EnergiNius™ complex — including protection against blue light from screens. Three to four treatments per year are enough to keep the skin structurally more vital.

Step 9: Weekly boost and calming For moments when the skin needs extra calm, the Schrammek AloCalm Gel Mask 75ml is a versatile solution — as a soothing mask, after-sun care, or immediate skin calming for irritations. The main ingredient aloe vera works on multiple levels simultaneously: hydrating, calming, and restoring.

Step 10: Bring lips and hands to the same level A complete routine does not stop at the face. The Schrammek Soft Lip Balm 10ml is an anti-aging lip care with Volulip™ and squalane that hydrates structurally without the drying paraffin of classic lip balms. The Schrammek Handsome Care 40ml is a hyaluronic acid hand cream with olive oil, shea butter, and a subtle lavender scent — fast absorbing and compact enough for any handbag.

How to create your personal Essential routine?

Start with the basics — a cleanser, a toner, and a day cream — and expand from there. For dry or sensitive skin, a simple routine of Super Soft Cleanser, Herbal Care Lotion, and Special Care Cream as a 24-hour cream, followed by Optimum Protection Cream SPF30 in the morning, is often sufficient. For dull or tired skin, replace the Herbal Care Lotion with Activating Skin Tonic and plan three to four 7-day Energy Plus treatments per year. Weekly use of Perfect Skin Peeling or AloCalm Gel Mask keeps the skin in top condition, and High Perfection Eye Cream, Soft Lip Balm, and Handsome Care bring the eye contour, lips, and hands to the same care level.

Frequently asked questions

For which skin type is the Dr Schrammek Essential line suitable?

The line is developed for normal to dry skin and sensitive skin at any age. Products like Special Care Cream are primarily aimed at sensitive dry skin prone to redness, while Activating Skin Tonic is specifically developed for dull, tired skin that needs activation. For oily or impure skin, the Regulating line is more suitable, and for extremely reactive skin, the Sensiderm line.

Can I combine products from the Essential line with other Schrammek lines?

Yes, the Schrammek lines are developed to be combined. Many users, for example, combine Essential cleansers with a serum from the Mela White line for pigmentation treatment, or add a product from the Time Control line in the evening when the skin needs anti-aging effects.

How long does it take to see results?

With consistent use, you usually see visible improvement in skin feel within one to two weeks — less tightness, more hydration, and a calmer skin appearance. For structural changes in the skin barrier and reduction of fine lines, expect four to six weeks. The Energy Plus Ampoule offers accelerated results within seven days.

Do the products contain fragrance?

Most Essential products are fragrance-free or contain only light natural scents. Handsome Care contains lavender oil and Soft Lip Balm a subtle aroma. Completely fragrance-free are High Perfection Eye Cream, Special Care Cream, Super Soft Cleanser, and Soft Foam Cleanser — a safe choice for those sensitive to scents.
