When pores are filled with excess sebum, dirt, and dead skin cells, a daily routine is not always enough. A weekly deep mask can make the difference — by bringing everything that has built up during the week to the surface at once. The big risk of classic clay masks is that they dry out the skin and thereby actually stimulate sebum production.
The Black Clearing Mask from Dr Schrammek’s Regulating line combines the power of activated bamboo charcoal with kaolin and Sebuless® for a deep cleansing without damaging the skin barrier. Salicylic acid opens clogged pores, while aloe vera and panthenol hydrate and soothe the skin during use. The result is visibly clearer, mattified skin with refined pores — without the tight feeling many masks leave behind.

Active ingredients
Activated bamboo charcoal: Bamboo charcoal acts like a magnet for dirt, toxins, and excess sebum in the pores. The fine particles bind these substances and are rinsed away with the mask, resulting in visibly cleaner and smaller pores.
Sebuless®: A patented active ingredient that regulates sebum production and has anti-inflammatory effects. Sebuless® specifically targets the cause of shine and blackheads, rather than just addressing the surface effect.
Kaolin: A fine, white porcelain clay with strong absorbing properties. Kaolin absorbs excess sebum and moisture without drying out the skin, contributing to a soft, matte appearance after use.
Salicylic acid (BHA): A fat-soluble beta hydroxy acid that penetrates deeper into the pores than AHA acids. Salicylic acid helps loosen blackheads from within and prevents new impurities from forming.
How to use it
- Thoroughly cleanse the face with a suitable cleanser from the Regulating line
- Apply a generous, even layer of the mask to the face, neck, and optionally décolleté
- Avoid the eye contour and leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes
- Remove with lukewarm water and optionally a soft washcloth
- Continue with your usual care — always use sun protection as the last step in the morning

Frequently asked questions
How often per week can I use this mask?
Once or twice a week is enough. For very oily skin with many impurities, you can use it twice a week in the first weeks, then reduce to once a week to keep the skin balanced.
Does the black color cause problems on towels or clothing?
No, the bamboo charcoal is of natural origin and contains no added artificial colorants. Any residue rinses out easily from towels with a normal wash.
Can I use this mask if I don’t have oily skin?
Yes, the mask can also be used as a detox treatment for normal or combination skin. For dry or sensitive skin, we advise against it because activated charcoal and kaolin then remove too much moisture.
