Jane Iredale Amazing Base Mineral Powder SPF20 Natural 10,5g

Invisible mineral powder foundation SPF20 for a natural medium skin tone

The most beautiful makeup is the makeup no one sees. For a medium skin tone with balanced undertones — neither distinctly warm nor cool — the ideal is skin that just looks good: even, fresh, and itself. No visible coverage, no color layer, no compromise. Yet few foundation formulas fully achieve this without revealing their presence on the skin.

The Jane Iredale Amazing Base Natural is tuned to that in-between color that many skin tones naturally have — a fair medium with balanced undertones that doesn’t push the skin in any pronounced direction. The micronized mineral formula blends seamlessly with the natural complexion, subtly evens out, and virtually disappears into the skin. From a light enhancement on relaxed days to full even coverage for special occasions — with broad-spectrum SPF20 protection as a natural daily base.

Color: A neutral, balanced medium shade with slightly warm undertones that seamlessly adapts to a wide range of medium skin tones.

Benefits

• Second-skin finish that enhances the natural complexion without showing foundation
• Broad-spectrum SPF20 protection with titanium dioxide (14%) and zinc oxide (6%)
• Balanced neutral shade that matches a wide spectrum of medium skin tones
• Soft focus effect visually softens pores, fine lines, and minor imperfections
• Water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, vegan, oil-free, and free from synthetic filters

Active Ingredients

Titanium Dioxide (14%): On a medium skin tone with neutral undertones, titanium dioxide acts as an invisible protective layer that does not tint the skin’s natural color but refines it. The broad UVA and UVB protection is fully transparent, while the light-reflecting effect provides a bright, fresh quality to the finish.

Zinc Oxide (6%): Adds additional broad-spectrum protection and soothes the skin in case of sensitivity or mild irritation. On a neutral medium skin tone, zinc oxide leaves the natural color balance completely intact — no discoloration, no haze, just protection.

Boron Nitride: This ingredient is responsible for the signature second-skin quality of the Jane Iredale Amazing Base Natural. It diffuses light evenly across the skin surface, giving the skin a silky, naturally even appearance — like a subtle filter that makes everything look a little better without revealing itself.

Algae Extract: A marine component that actively supports the skin's moisture level while the powder is worn. On a medium skin tone that should feel comfortable and smooth all day long, algae extract prevents a dry or powdery finish and keeps the complexion vibrant.

Pomegranate extract (Punica Granatum): Actively protects the skin structure against UV-related oxidative damage with its antioxidant-rich composition. An even skin texture is essential for a neutral medium skin tone to maintain the natural, unprocessed appearance — pomegranate extract safeguards that foundation in the long term.

Plankton extract: Supports the skin barrier and increases the skin’s resilience against daily environmental influences. A strong barrier is the quiet foundation behind skin that looks fresh, even, and like itself all day long.

Frequently Asked Questions

What distinguishes Natural from the other medium shades in the Jane Iredale Amazing Base line?

Natural has a neutral, balanced undertone that is neither distinctly warm nor cool — ideal for a medium skin tone that naturally falls in the middle. Amber is warmer and more golden, Warm Sienna has more red depth. The Jane Iredale Amazing Base Natural is the choice for those seeking an honest, natural color match without a pronounced direction. When in doubt, Jane Iredale offers a 100% color guarantee.

Can I also combine this powder with a liquid concealer for more coverage on problem areas?

Yes. Apply the concealer precisely to the desired areas, gently pat it in, and then finish with the Amazing Base Mineral Powder as a finishing layer. This sets the concealer, creates a smooth transition to the rest of the skin, and adds SPF20 protection over the entire face.

Is Natural also suitable for mature skin?

Absolutely. The light, micronized texture of this powder does not settle into lines and pores, which is crucial for mature skin. The soft focus effect of Boron Nitride visually softens fine lines, while algae extract keeps the skin hydrated and supple — for a natural, radiant finish that rejuvenates and evens the skin.
