Jane Iredale Amazing Base Mineral Powder SPF20 Bisque 10,5g

Light mineral powder foundation with SPF 20 for a neutral skin tone

A light skin tone with neutral undertones quickly stands out with a foundation that is either too rosy or too pale. The line between "this is my skin" and "this is foundation" is immediately visible with a fair complexion—and crucial. This is exactly where the right undertone match makes the difference between a polished and an artificial result.

The Jane Iredale Amazing Base in Bisque seamlessly matches fair to lightly tinted skin tones and provides a light translucent to full coverage that breathes and looks like skin, never like a mask. The micronized mineral powder reduces redness and unevenness with a soft focus effect, while titanium dioxide and zinc oxide protect the skin with SPF 20.

Color: A creamy light shade with a neutral to subtly warm undertone, ideal for fair or light skin tones that do not appear rosy or grayish.

Benefits

• Seamless coverage on a light, neutral skin tone without a mask-like effect
• Visually reduces redness, unevenness, and minor blemishes with a soft focus effect
• Mineral SPF 20 with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide — reef safe and free from synthetic filters
• Oil-free powder that allows the skin to breathe and feels comfortable throughout the day
• Water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation

Active Ingredients

Titanium Dioxide (14%): A mineral sunscreen that offers broad UVA and UVB protection without burdening the skin with synthetic filters. The light-reflecting ability of titanium dioxide is an added benefit for lighter skin tones: it gives the complexion a subtle, bright glow that visually evens out the skin.

Zinc Oxide (6%): A mineral filter with proven soothing properties that neutralizes redness on the skin. For lighter skin tones—where redness on the cheeks and nose is more noticeable—zinc oxide provides both protection and visible comfort.

Boron Nitride: Responsible for the characteristically soft, silky texture of Amazing Base. Its smoothing effect on the skin surface visually reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines without making the skin look powdery or matte.

Algae extract: Soothes and hydrates the skin while the powder is applied. For a light complexion that feels dry quickly under powder products, algae extract helps maintain the skin's moisture levels — for a comfortable finish that lasts all day.

Pomegranate extract (Punica Granatum): An antioxidant-rich ingredient that protects the skin against UV-related oxidative damage. For fair skin tones that are more sensitive to sun damage, pomegranate extract acts as an extra protective layer alongside the mineral filters.

Plankton extract: Supports the skin barrier and strengthens the skin's resistance to external factors. This marine ingredient contributes to a more even skin surface and a brighter overall appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Bisque also suitable if I have very light, almost porcelain-like skin?

Bisque is a light shade with a neutral to subtly warm undertone and suits fair to lightly tinted skin. If you have a distinctly pale complexion with cool undertones, Ivory might be a better match. Jane Iredale offers a 100% color guarantee.

Does this powder dry out my skin?

The formula is oil-free but contains algae extract that actively supports the skin's moisture levels. Always apply a hydrating day cream before the powder and finish with a hydration spray for a comfortable, radiant finish that lasts all day.

Can I also use Amazing Base Bisque as a concealer on red spots or blemishes?

Yes. Use the Flat Eye Brush to apply Amazing Base precisely as a spot concealer. The soft focus effect of Boron Nitride also gives a polished, even result with targeted application without the skin looking heavy or layered.
