Cosmedix Serum

Concentrated serums for every skin goal

A serum is the most concentrated step in a skincare routine. While a cleanser and moisturizer mainly work on the skin’s surface, a serum penetrates deeper and delivers the active ingredients that make a structural difference — think retinol, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, peptides, or niacinamide. A well-chosen Cosmedix serum is the engine behind visible results on fine lines, pigmentation spots, dull skin, blemishes, or sensitivity.

The Cosmedix serum range is built around the philosophy of "Clean. Clinical. Luxurious." — high-quality active ingredients in chiral formulas, combined with botanical extracts that soothe the skin. Whether you’re looking for a first anti-aging serum, a professional retinol product, a vitamin C serum for sensitive skin, or a booster for stubborn pigmentation spots: within this collection you’ll find the targeted solution.

Why choose Cosmedix serums?

Cosmedix works with chirally correct ingredients — the molecular form the skin itself recognizes — for maximum effectiveness with minimal irritation. The serums are paraben-, phthalate-, and sulfate-free, cruelty-free, and are used internationally by skin therapists and dermatological clinics. The combination of concentrated active ingredients with calming botanicals also makes the line accessible for those who cannot tolerate classic retinol or vitamin C.

Hydration and barrier repair. For those who want to first balance the skin or nourish thirsty skin: Surge is a lightweight booster with hyaluronic acid in three molecular weights. Cell ID focuses on restoring the skin barrier and is popular in post-treatment routines. Reboot works overnight with probiotics and peptides to balance the microbiome.

Vitamin C, brightening, and pigmentation. For a radiant, even skin tone and protection against free radicals: Pure C is a vitamin C powder you mix per application for maximum freshness. Affirm (also in 30ml) combines antioxidants with firming peptides. Simply Brilliant tackles stubborn pigmentation spots with ten actives including niacinamide and lactic acid. Brilliancy is a vitamin C oil for dry skin. Revert works with stable THD vitamin C, also suitable for sensitive skin and protection against blue light. Radiance takes it further with EGF and copper peptides for mature skin.

Retinol and anti-aging. For those who want to work on cell renewal and wrinkle reduction: Refine contains 4% AGP-retinol complex without hydroxy acids — targeted at oily or blemish-prone skin. Refine Plus is the more concentrated variant for the experienced user. Define combines 2% AGP-retinol with a triple hydroxy acid mix — an accessible entry product for dry or mature skin. Serum 16 goes further with 16% LG-Retinex micro-encapsulation for intensive anti-aging results without the typical irritation of classic retinol. Bakuchiol Complete is a plant-based retinol alternative — suitable during pregnancy or for intolerance to classic retinol.

Blemishes and acne tendency. Clarity is available in 15ml and 30ml and targets blemishes, blackheads, and post-acne pigmentation spots.

Soothing and repairing. C.P.R. (Calm, Protect, Restore) is formulated for irritated or post-procedure skin and immediately soothes redness, burning, or sensitivity.

Booster powders and prep. B-Complex is a niacinamide powder you mix into your serum or moisturizer for an extra vitamin B boost. Prep + Reset are pre-soaked pads that prepare the skin for the active serums that follow.

How do you use a Cosmedix serum in your routine?

1. Start with clean, cleansed skin and optionally apply your toner or a Prep + Reset pad to prepare the skin
2. In the morning, first apply your hydration and antioxidant serum — think Surge for hydration and Affirm, Revert or Simply Brilliant for antioxidant protection and brightening
3. In the evening, use your active anti-aging serum — a retinol product like Define, Refine or Serum 16, or Bakuchiol Complete as a plant-based alternative
4. Do you have blemish-prone skin? Use Clarity specifically as a spot treatment or as an evening serum
5. Optionally mix a booster powder like Pure C or B-Complex into your serum or moisturizer for extra concentrated effect
6. If irritation, redness, or after a professional treatment occurs: replace or supplement with C.P.R. or Cell ID until the skin has recovered
7. Always finish your morning routine with a moisturizer and sun protection as the last step

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Cosmedix serum is suitable for beginners?

For those new to concentrated serums, Surge (hyaluronic acid) and Affirm (peptide-antioxidant) are accessible starting points. For a first introduction to retinol, Define is the gentlest option in the range thanks to the low concentration of AGP-retinol combined with hydrating ingredients.

Can I combine multiple Cosmedix serums in the same routine?

Yes, and it is even recommended for maximum results. A common combination: in the morning a hydration serum (Surge) followed by a vitamin C serum (Revert or Affirm), in the evening a retinol product (Define, Refine, or Serum 16). Avoid combining strong acids with high retinol concentrations in the same step — that overloads the skin.

Which Cosmedix serums are safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Suitable options include Surge, Cell ID, Reboot, Bakuchiol Complete, C.P.R., Revert, and Radiance. Not suitable are retinol-containing products such as Define, Refine, Refine Plus, and Serum 16, as well as serums with salicylic acid. Always consult your midwife if in doubt.

How long before I see results from a Cosmedix serum?

The first improvement in skin comfort and hydration is usually noticeable within one to two weeks. For structural changes — reduction of fine lines, more even skin tone, better firmness — a period of eight to twelve weeks of consistent use applies. Retinol products work on the natural 28-day cell renewal cycle and therefore require patience in the first weeks.
