Jane Iredale Concealer

Concealers for dark circles, redness, hyperpigmentation, and skin matching

Concealer is one of the most versatile products in a makeup routine, yet also the most confusing. While foundation provides overall evenness, concealer does the targeted work: camouflaging dark circles, reducing redness, correcting pigmentation spots, hiding bruises, or simply brightening the skin under the eyes. The right choice depends on what exactly you want to address — and many users only realize after years that they actually need two or three concealers for different purposes.

The Jane Iredale concealer range covers every need, from daily skin evening to professional camouflage of bruises and tattoos. Each line has a specific purpose, its own texture, and technology — from color-correcting pots and tubes to liquid skin-match concealers and peptide-enriched eye care. This subcategory helps you choose which line fits your specific need.

How to choose the right Jane Iredale concealer?

The choice between concealer lines is determined by four factors: the type of discoloration you want to camouflage (dark circles, redness, hyperpigmentation, bruises), the skin tone and undertone you need to match, whether you want additional benefits like SPF protection or anti-aging effects, and the desired texture (pot for targeted camouflage, tube with applicator for convenience, liquid for broader coverage). Some concealers work based on color theory to visually neutralize discolorations, others match as seamlessly as possible to your own skin tone. Know what problem you want to solve, and the choice becomes clearer.

Which type of concealer suits you?

Enlighten Concealer: The classic peach-toned pot in two shades, developed for dark circles with a blue or purple undertone. Suitable for light to medium-tan skin tones and nourishing with Amazonian Marapuama and White Lily. Choose this if you want a compact pot with strong peach neutralization for the daily under-eye area.

Enlighten Plus Under-eye Concealer: Liquid vegan concealer in five shades with broad-spectrum SPF (30 for lighter shades, 20 for darker), delivered with a cooling applicator that helps reduce puffiness immediately. Choose this line if you want concealer, sun protection, and anti-puffiness all in one product.

Circle Delete Concealer: Color-correcting pots in four functional colors — yellow for redness, peach for blue circles, gold-brown and peach-gold for pigmentation on dark skin. Choose this line if you need targeted color correction for specific issues like rosacea, couperose, or hyperpigmentation.

PureMatch Liquid Concealer: Liquid vegan concealer in 16 shades with precision doe-foot applicator and soft matte finish. No color correction but a seamless true-to-skin match for the entire face. Choose this line if you want a versatile concealer that matches your own skin tone and is also suitable as a brightener or contour.

Correcting Serum & Corrective Colors: Two complementary products for color correction on different levels. The HydroPure Color Correcting Serum works daily against overall redness with a sheer green tint, Corrective Colors is a professional 4-color palette for camouflaging bruises, tattoos, and stubborn hyperpigmentation. Choose this combination if you occasionally need intense camouflage.

Skintuition Brightening Under Eye Concealer: The newest concealer line in 16 skin tones with Active Peptide Complex, niacinamide, and bioactive marine extract. Camouflages immediately and improves the eye contour over time — clinical studies showed 93% immediate improvement of dark circles and 87% increased hydration. Choose this line if you want a concealer with proven anti-aging effects around the eyes.

Tips for the right choice

Always start by identifying exactly what you want to solve. For daily dark circles, Enlighten, Enlighten Plus, or Skintuition are the logical choices — with Enlighten Plus adding sun protection and Skintuition adding anti-aging skincare. For visible redness across the face, the HydroPure Color Correcting Serum works as a daily base. For specific spots like rosacea patches, couperose, or pigmentation spots, Circle Delete or Corrective Colors are more targeted. If you want a concealer that works everywhere on your face — blemishes, circles, contour, brightening — PureMatch is the most versatile choice.

Also consider your skin tone and undertone carefully. PureMatch and Skintuition each offer 16 shades for a seamless match, while Enlighten Plus offers five shades with deliberate SPF adjustment per shade. And check if vegan use is a requirement: PureMatch, Enlighten Plus, Skintuition, and HydroPure Color Correcting Serum are vegan, while Enlighten Concealer, Circle Delete, and Corrective Colors contain beeswax.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Enlighten Concealer and Enlighten Plus Under-eye Concealer?

The original Enlighten Concealer is a compact pot in two shades without SPF, containing beeswax in the formula. Enlighten Plus Under-eye Concealer is a liquid vegan concealer in five shades, delivered in a tube with a cooling applicator and broad-spectrum SPF 30 or 20 depending on the shade. Choose Enlighten Plus for sun protection and vegan use, Enlighten for the classic pot form and nourishing pot formula.

Which Jane Iredale concealer works best for dark circles under the eyes?

For blue or purple dark circles on light to medium skin, Enlighten Concealer, Enlighten Plus, or Circle Delete 2 — all three based on peach color correction. For skincare anti-aging effects alongside, Skintuition is a stronger choice thanks to the Active Peptide Complex and niacinamide. For dark circles on medium-dark to deep skin, the dedicated shades of Circle Delete 3-4, Enlighten Plus No. 3-4, and Skintuition MD-DPR work best.

Can I combine different concealers or should I choose just one?

Combining is often the strongest approach. A classic professional technique: first color correction with a Circle Delete or Corrective Colors layer to visually neutralize the underlying discoloration, followed by a PureMatch or Skintuition layer in your skin tone for the matching finish. For daily routine, one concealer often suffices; for special occasions or stubborn issues, a combined approach is more effective.

Which concealer has SPF protection?

Only Enlighten Plus Under-eye Concealer contains built-in SPF (30 for No. 0, 1, and 2; 20 for No. 3 and 4). The other concealer lines do not offer SPF — so daily use of a separate sun protection is important, especially if you want to prevent hyperpigmentation or dark circles from worsening due to UV exposure.

Which Jane Iredale concealer is vegan?

PureMatch Liquid Concealer, Enlighten Plus Under-eye Concealer, Skintuition Brightening Under Eye Concealer, and the HydroPure Color Correcting Serum from the Correcting Serum & Corrective Colors collection are vegan. Enlighten Concealer, Circle Delete Concealer, and Corrective Colors contain beeswax as a natural structuring agent and are therefore not vegan. All concealers are gluten-free and cruelty-free.
